Tim MacWilliam with Frank Eliel Blackfriars Rotary Club

Frank joined the show on 9th February to ask anyone to donate thier old computers for the Rotary Club’s Recycling Computer Scheme.

The Club is collecting redundant computers locally to provide basic computer equipment for junior schools in Sri Lanka where there are no computers. They require computers (not monitors) mice and keyboards and digi cameras. They do need to be Pentium III or better to run Windows 2000 + an easy test is weather the keyboard plug is ‘big = thumb sized’ or ’small = pencil sized’  or the plug is coloured purple, Pencil size and purple is Good.

If you would like to donate contact Frank via thier website www.blackfriars-rotary.org.uk. go to the ‘contact us’ button and let them know what you have to donate and someone will come back to you with all the necessary information.

If you would like to find out more about the project you can visit www.stroudrotary.org.uk.

Alternatively you can become a member of the club - details are on the website above.

It is a great scheme and environmentally friendly as many old computers usually end up in landfill sites.
